2020 Help Pastors during Covid-19 Lockdown

Help for Covid-19 Relief Kenyan Pastors Antioch Baptist

The Government of Kenya shut down the country due to the Covid-19 pandemic.  This is bad enough anywhere in the world but in an already depressed area, you couple this with a mandatory curfew, house lockdowns and $2 a day wage when work is available, and you have a recipe for a major disaster.  Many Kenyans have lost their jobs and the ability to provide for their families.   We are raising funds to go directly to each pastor of Antioch Baptist Kenya to supply food and rent for their family for 6 months.  Many are doing jobs that are not safe such as gathering sand (building material) from crocodile infested rivers just to keep their family alive (infrastructure jobs are open but manually intensive such as gathering sand for concrete or busting rocks for making blocks). The video below shows Pastor Robert taking a bucket of sand from a crocodile infested river.  He is paid 2KSh per bucket or .02 cents USD per bucket.  He can get up to 50 buckets per day.   He can make up to $1 a day and gets paid every three days.  This only supplies a meager 1 meal per child and adult of maize per day for his family of 12.  Hardly enough to survive on.  We are standing with our brothers and sisters in Christ to assist in this unprecedented time of pain and struggle.

There is a total of 31 Pastors of Antioch Baptist across Kenya that we are trying to assist for the next 6 months.  Can you help just 1 family for 1 month? (many hands make the load light).

Simple breakdown 

1 pastor @ $100 month x 6 months = $600 x 31 pastors = $18,600 total
