About Us
Kerring for Kenya is a mission-driven organization dedicated to supporting the efforts of the Antioch Baptist Churches of Kenya. Our focus is on empowering pastors and their families to serve their congregations effectively by providing them with the tools and training to evangelize, disciple, and support the needs of various Kenyan communities. By alleviating the financial burdens often associated with ministry in impoverished and remote areas, we help pastors devote more time and energy to spreading the Gospel and building thriving church communities.
Our Mission
Kerring for Kenya is an organization with a mission to help our Kenyan brothers and sisters in Christ.
We believe that helping our Kenyan brothers and sisters to be self-supporting is the best way to be good biblical stewards of our resources. We (Kerring For Kenya /AIBC) support and train willing Pastors to become increasingly financially stable whereby they can support their families and afford more time and opportunity to spread the Gospel of Christ. Our projects are but a few initiatives that provide relief to our brothers and sisters in Christ.
How We Do It
We support pastors through education and initiatives tailored to their specific needs. These efforts include:
- Income-Generating Projects: Providing tools and training, such as beekeeping equipment, sewing machines, fishing nets, welders, and computers.
- Sustainability Training: Helping pastors learn skills that empower them to support their families and mentor others in their communities.
- Parsonage Support: Assisting pastors in securing housing so they can focus on ministry without the burden of rent.
Our approach ensures that pastors and their families are not only sustained but also positioned to create lasting change in their communities.
A Legacy of Love
Kerring for Kenya was founded in memory of Kerri Kiker, the 28-year-old daughter of Ben and Vicki Kiker of Ellijay, GA. The first church supported by this mission, the Antioch Independent Baptist Church of Karogoto, was built to honor Kerri’s legacy. Since then, we’ve expanded to support the broader Antioch Independent Baptist Churches of Kenya, a ministry started by Reverend David and Mrs. Elwanda Fields in 1983 after decades of mission work in Africa. Through the work of Kerring for Kenya, Kerri’s memory lives on as we partner with Kenyan pastors to expand God’s Kingdom. By supporting self-sustainability and ministry growth, we aim to honor her legacy while bringing hope and transformation to communities across Kenya.
