Kitui Independent Baptist Church, located in Kitui with a population of approximately 20,000, was founded on January 18, 2004. The church, led by Pastor Patrick Kitema and his wife, Elizabeth Nduku, currently has 25 members. Pastor Kitema and his family, including their four children—Sandra, Martha, Peace, and Harrison—are devoted to serving their community in this challenging area.

The church is situated on land and within a building owned by the Antioch Independent Baptist Churches (AIBC). With access to clean water from a nearby river and power in both the church and the home, the congregation focuses on spiritual growth, community support, and essential projects.

Despite the challenges, the church has grown spiritually, with three souls saved this past year and one promoted to glory. The potential for growth remains strong, with an expectation of 10 new members next year. However, resources like a public address system, more visitations, and additional Bibles are needed to facilitate this growth.

The pastor's family requires financial support for school fees and projects. Critical church needs include water reconnection, roofing for the toilet, a gate and fence, and completing the pastor's house.

Prayer requests include health for Pastor Kitema, support for his aging motorcycle to aid church visits, and continued provision for the family and church’s growth. The Kitema family is deeply grateful for the support and prayers that enable them to fulfill their mission in Kitui.

Kithanake Independent Baptist Church, located in Kithanake with a population of over 400, was established on April 27, 2013. Led by Pastor Patrick Kitema, with support from helper Onesmus Mwikya, the church currently has 47 attendees, 21 of whom are confirmed members. The church is built on land owned by the Antioch Independent Baptist Churches (AIBC) and operates without electricity or nearby clean water, with the nearest borehole 4 km away.

The church has experienced significant growth, increasing from 28 to 47 attendees over the past year, with expectations of reaching 55 members in the coming year. Key strategies for growth include biblical teaching, training, outreach, and fostering unity and humility among church leaders.

Immediate needs for the church include electricity connections, toilet improvements, fencing the compound, land transfer, and completing window panes. Pastor Kitema, who earns a modest income from goat and chicken projects, seeks support for ministry instruments and open-air evangelism to expand the church's reach.

Pastor Kitema is deeply grateful for God's blessings in his life and ministry and requests prayers for a future wife, the continued growth of the church, and resources to address the community’s pressing needs.

Wiini Independent Baptist Church, located in the town of Wiini with an estimated population of 20,000, is a small but hopeful congregation led by Pastor Patrick Kitema and assisted by Daniel Juma. Pastor Kitema oversees the church, while Helper Daniel Juma, along with his wife Hellen and their three children—Jane, Linda, and Muasya—support the ministry.

The church is built on land owned by the Antioch Independent Baptist Churches (AIBC) but operates from a temporary structure without access to electricity or nearby clean water. Despite hard times in the past year, efforts to revive the church are underway, with a goal of growing to 50 members by the end of 2024.

Immediate needs for growth include constructing a permanent church building, installing a toilet, and establishing a reliable water source. Pastor Kitema and his family face financial challenges, with a  lack of stable income sources.

The pastor requests prayers for his health, resources to purchase a motorcycle for easier travel over the 50 km distance from his home to the church, and ongoing support to enable him to serve both the congregation and the broader community effectively. The family remains committed to their ministry and appreciates the prayers and support of their partners.

Kamulu Independent Baptist Church, located in the small town of Kamulu with a population of about 200, was founded on September 10, 2021. Under the leadership of Pastor Jeremiah Kimwele and supported by his wife Jemimah and their three children—Elijah, Moses, and Muture—the church has grown to 60 members through door-to-door evangelism, with 12 new members joining over the past year. Additionally, they care for an orphan, Mary Rose Mutisa, as part of their ministry.

The church operates on land owned by the Antioch Independent Baptist Churches (AIBC), though there is a remaining balance for its purchase. Services are held in a temporary structure with no electricity, and the nearest clean water source is River Thua. Pastor Jeremiah supplements his modest income through chicken rearing and land projects, but the family's combined income  is insufficient to meet their needs.

Looking ahead, the church anticipates further growth and aims to add more than 12 members in the coming year. Key needs for expansion include a permanent church building, chairs, and additional Bibles for evangelism. The pastor’s family also requires support to pay school fees, buy land, and build a home.
