Githurai Independent Baptist Church, located in the town of Githurai with a population of about 10,000, is led by Pastor Job K. Makau, supported by helper Fredrick Okwach. Pastor Makau’s family includes his wife, Beatrice Nduwye, their three children—Ibrahim Makau, Sarah Mumbua, and Alpha Muuo—and three dependants: Brian, Grace, and Patience.
The church is currently housed in a temporary structure on rented land. Despite these limitations, the congregation has grown to 20 members over the past year, with members showing significant spiritual growth. The church is trusting God to add more members in the coming year.
To support growth, the church urgently needs Bibles, flyers, tracts, games, and Sunday school materials, as well as a Sunday school class, more chairs, and a permanent building. Securing a church plot is a long-term goal.
Pastor Makau and his family face financial challenges to pay the monthly rent for their home. The pastor seeks additional support to start a new project for sustainable income.
The family expresses heartfelt gratitude for the support they have received and continues to pray for God’s blessings on their supporters. Prayer requests include the growth of the church, reaching more souls, and provision for both family and ministry needs.
